Writing Your Bio, Blurb or Profile

Saturday 10/24/09, 10am - 1pm (3 CE Hours)

  • Do you hate writing those condensed versions of who you are and what you do?

  • Do you dread it when people ask you for your bio?

  • Does it feel like you're squeezing years of education and experience into a few short paragraphs, only to lose the essence of what you really offer?
There is a skill to distilling the essence of your work into a sound bite. And you can learn this skill. In this 3-hour workshop you will have the opportunity to brainstorm in small groups, guided by the right questions to get at precisely who you are and what you do.

This is hands-on, interactive, brass-tacks kind of work. You'll get immediate feedback and support. And when you leave, you'll have a first draft filled with key terms you can use for internet directory listings, advertising materials, bio pages, staff descriptions, author pages, "about" pages, etc.
